Took the car to Interpro last week and had fitted Tein Super Streets,HKS S type Intercooler,Walbro 255,Braided brake lines,

Got it on the rollers and it made 418.5 bhp @1.15 bar and it still has the 1st CAT on it..

Other mods are HKS super Dagger,HKS EVC4, HKS Racing Suction Kit and TDI Carbon Heat Sheild,Volt Stabilizar , Earthing Kit, HKS FCD,UK Spec Brakes

That can't be good for your turbo's surely?.. I thought increased boost with the first cat in = lots of heat = turbo failure! It's happened to lots of people on here. The turbo's just break to bits because of the intense heat!.. I'd get the first cat removed asap and fit a restrictor ring ;)

Thats a big drop between engine and wheel output, it does not look right to me, also what about EGT's ??

If wheel BHP was 242BHP I would have expected about 310 ish engine BHP

Your going to have to help me out here whats the EGT:rolleyes:

Are the rollers at Interpro normal on the high side then?

The dyno records RW torque, from which it calculates rwhp (so the figure of 242rwhp can is the 'true' reading from the dyno). At the most optimistic the auto box loses 25% of the engine output, so a realistic flywheel figure would be between 305 and 310bhp. This is a little low for 1.15bar, but with the 1st cat in place it's going to be a huge restriction on the system.

It's really unwise to run more than 0.9 car with the 1st cat in place due to EGT issues.

The dyno run is still worth it as you have your rwhp figure (the one we all prefer to use here when doing comparisons), just ignore the flywheel one as they're almost impossible to calculate with auto's on a wheel/hub driven dyno.

with 1.2bar you should be seeing about 330rwhp on the auto, 350rwhp on the 6spd. So clearly some more work needed to get your hp where is should be for the boost level.

So why would the car be holding back so much do you think

I know if i remove the Cat it would help but not that much.

As i have the HKS FMIC and Super dagger and Filter:(

Removing the first CAT and fitting a restrictor ring would help a lot actually, the first CAT is very restrictive

Also an uprated fuel pump, new fuel filter....

Infact look here BPU and all will be explained ;)

Oh, and my MR2 Turbo made 225 RWHP on Saturday at stock boost (0.8Bar)

Not bad, they only had 200 out of the factory. Either thats an extremely dodgy dyno or your mate is running more than stock boost, or other choice mods.

I'm guessing that its a rev 3? FWHP is 245 stock and a rev 1/2 is 220 stock
