they are for auto transmission,usually used when fitting an after market rad with no trans cooler in the bottom,or can be added to the stock system for added cooling

a good idea if running a hi stal

i have a motec oil cooler situated in the front right corner of my car is this the same thing

but i had a setup like this with no fan on it and it cooked the oil as sitting in traffic = no air flow,so take that into consideration.

these will fit on the back of the rad infront of the viscous fan,but i have twin spals so no room for them.

if your happy with the cooler you have i would recommend fitting a fan to it with a switching sensor in the sump of the trans.ive been told to cooler the atf can be kept the better
