what should not happen to a fuel pump

Car cut out earlier and would not restart blew one fuse, and pumps were making a stange noise so i took them out and had a butchers found one pump perfect and working fine and the other like this

mate of mine had the same problem in his evo apparently a dodgey batch last year and had it replaced straight away so i have complained to walbro just waiting for a reply. So the other one i had for sale is not for sale anymore until i get another one.;
