rafter666
I have a 94 tt . Stock width for front tires is 235, which i'm currently running. I bought new wheels and they rub a little bit because the ET is 20. If the tires were 225 it should fit better/fine . My question is : isn't 225 too narrow for over 500 hp car with heavy front? I'd like to know how the car will act on the road. Will it oversteer more or understeer? My rear tires are 285. 225 is stock for N/A cars which are about ~100kg lighter . What's your opinion? robin
As long as the load rating of the tyre is high enough it should be fine. It will just wear quicker then a 235 tyre.
rafter666
Guys from supraforums told me 225 is way too narrow and will make handling tend towards understeer. What do you think ?
jamesmark
It depends if you are going to be driving fast enough or cornering hard at speed to experience under steer. Have you thought about getting your arches rolled? So that you can keep a wider tyre.
Swampy442
Personally Id change the rims to something approaching the correct offset, 20 is way to high
