dr_blackman
My brakes have seen better days, been looking through threads on possible upgrades I've decided just to stick with the jspec size brakes So far i've bought: Goodrich braided hoses and some high heat fluid.... Now do I stick with original discs or will it be worth getting some 3G discs from Gaz? Then I will need some new pads, Chris Wilson one's have a good rep on here. Then there are also the endless pads Gaz sells.... Who's running what setup and what works best? Dave.
Scooter
i would stick with stock disks and just spend the money on pads above everything. IMO £300 spent on a set of pads is better than £150 on pads & £150 on disks etc. If you have wheels you value the look of then research the dust produced from the various upgrade pads and/or be prepared to clean them more often. Nic
i would stick with stock disks and just spend the money on pads above everything. IMO £300 spent on a set of pads is better than £150 on pads & £150 on disks etc. A good set of pads and brake fluid will make the most difference. To get the best out of the smaller brakes, I'd fit the following 1. Endless CC-X pads http://www.endless-sport.co.jp/brake_pad/cc_x/img/photo.jpg 2. Standard OEM Brake Discs 3. Braided Brake Lines 4. TRD Brake Fluid 5. Either of the following braces for the brake master cylinder. These minimise flex, firming up the brake pedal feel and transferring more braking power to the pads. Animal
I recently got a full set of disks for my N/A from Miami GT for under £400. Can't remember what make they are, but they do the job nicely and are an improvement over the tired original disks that were on before.
