traction control getting in the way

The guy I sold my t-61 supra to is having problems getting the car to run as he wants.

He's going to use it for drift and drag and needs to be able to spin up the wheels for that.

The car is fitted with RLTC but its turned to OFF and the red light is on. The stock TC was removed (ECU out I believe) and the bulb removed from the dash.

Even on grass it goes to spin the wheels and something cuts the engine to stop it happening.

Its a UK spec.

Anybody got any ideas?

Not just a case of that old chesnut pulling the TRAC fuse?!?

Otherwise for drift use he'd be best ripping out the RLTC to sell on and be done with it.

Mine can drift fine with the stock TC binned :)

Strange. Would suggest him dissconnecting the RLTC and trying it and also trying it with the beloved fuse out and trying that. Could it be some kind of other error and not the TC?
