Nice to meet a few of ya.. had to park my car in the middle of the car park.. So there are no pictures of it.. boo hoo.. never mind.. If you wondered who I was... the only person there carrying his two year old son around.. Red N reg N/A white Volk wheels..

Sweet! You got a pic of mine - nice one (number sm8)

Plenty of nice cars there today, shame there wasn't enough parking space. Took me ages to get out & couldn't find where everyone had gone (Japspeed?) so was a bit gutted!

Good to meet people today "in the flesh" and put faces to names. Some lovely looking cars there especially Phil the Fixers - that looked ace. Mandy's boot build was awesome too. And Paul E's lights were...just as you'd expect really! :p

Yep, I went out of the carpark (eventually) and queued all along the road, then couldnt find anybody who knew where they were going so I buggered off home.

Nice meet though, shame it was so busy with other cars but it certainly got the attention of the boy racers.

Well done to the organisers.

Thanks gals & guys for the meet. It was good meeting you and seeing some great Supras and others. You were very welcoming - appreciated.
It was a shame about the car park being too busy - never mind.
Michelle had a problem with her Supra when we got back - seems to be OK now but I'll post that in the Tech section.
Thanks again,
Geoff (TanZX) & Michelle.

Good meet everybody.

Those who left should've stayed 'round - when everybody went to Japspeed, most of the regular Supra crew stayed and went and had some drinks in the pub.

There were still people coming, and leaving all day.. saw a few Supras/Skylines/WRXs turning up hours after people started moving (well, after security told us to get out - but stuff 'em, we were using the facilities of the pub) so was a shame it was broken up.

Still, was a nice meet, and a good time had I think :)

I have no idea who I ended up following out of the place when people were convoying to Lee-On-The-Solent about 7pm-ish, or if they were going to the L-O-T-S but I ended up miles out of my way enjoying burning down the road westerly, with at least 4 others.. swung round at a junction, went back the other way only to overtake Green Supra as he was turning off

Anyway, top stuff and look forward to the next one.

Hope everyone had a good day? The traffic was terrible I'd hate to see Southampton at rush hour! We eventually made it into the car park and had a good look round. Some nice looking cars. The Mazda RX8 was nice with a friendly owner too. I think it was Mandy's silver aerotop with the crazy ice install that looked the part. And plenty of other nice machines on show as expected.

I got stuck in the queue to leave the car park trying to follow some people to Japspeed in which time Greens Supra and nice S2000 and a few cars I wanted to look at came in so I turned round and went back into West Quay carpark. Got a wave whilst I was queuing from a lady in a nice gunmetal facelift which I believe was Amazing grace. (Sorry if that's totally wrong!)

Realised Supra Gal is the same Rosie I went to uni with (small world) and meet Nick she was with that I also went to uni with! Also got to meet Oxy briefly. Probably meet some others too but its difficult to tell who's who on a day like this.

Went for some dinner at Frankie and Bennys (bad service) came out and there was a good few Supra's left in the car park but no one in sight. Tried to find the Japspeed place but ended up getting rather lost around Southampton and ended up heading home after that.
Didn't see another jap car all the way back to Brighton but still a good day.

I have to say excellant meet, Shame car park was busy. But it felt like a meet that went well to me and some really nice cars there. Must be close to record Supra turn out and skyline boys came out in force as well followed closely by the scoobys

Enjoyed convoy there and back. Suprised Dangerous Brain kept up on way back wit his speed limiter. I also managed to lose some dead weight i had in my car on way there as well :p

One car was clamped and had to pay £20 to have clamp removed...it was a celica

toyotasuprauk
11-01-04, 21:14
Unlucky to get clamped it must have been parked on the end somewhere. Still £20 release fee could be worse.

When I was lost I spotted another car that had been clamped in another part of town and it was a £99 release fee.

Hey upstart nova kid not only did I keep up I turned off at ringwood only to find the spur road blocked by the police after an accident (hope it wasn't one of ours on their way home) Burned back down the dual carriage way and I beleive I actually passed your ass albeit up the inside lol.

Great meet all, again shame the car park was so busy but at least we got lucky with the weather. I reckon if half the crew hadn't taken off for japspeed the ones that turned up later on wouldn't have fit in. Major laff @ the celica gettin clamped I reckon the guy probably went round trying to get a clamp on our cars but couldn't cos our wheels were 2 big so he picked on a ickle celica instead the bully lol.

Were some awesome motors there and the mrs has said she quite liked the daddied up black RX7 so who knows!!!

The most amazing moment I reckon was when we left after the pub and at one point on the dual carriageway out of soton the only car type I could see both in front and behind in both lanes were supra's which look ultra cool at night with lights on. It was like summat out of gran turismo.

Apologies to OXY after almost performing a doughnut right next to ya exiting a roundabout in soton trying to follow timwildmans line off the damn rbout oooopsy.

Cool meet all roll on the next one.

Oooh, harsh . Made her walk home too, you cad! I think we should officially hold SteveW2s beer dept fulfilled after that mammoth round he bought. On second thoughts, it was only soft drinks...

It was a cool convoy out of Southampton. Oh, and sorry to whoever it was I pulled out in front of in the outside lane after a numpty pulled on to the dual carriageway right in front of me! Dunno what was going on on the spur road.

11-01-04, 21:55
Hey guys, just got back :)

Sorry I was so late getting there so missed all the hassle from security and stuff- was convoying down with boys from TOC and one of their bonnets flew up on the m3 and mullerd his windscreen/roof etc. Thanks for waiting for me at Fleet though :)

ToyotaSupraUK- I had no idea it was you Adrian!! Couldn't believe it when I saw you there!! lol

On the plus side I think Nicks been swayed from getting an RX7 into getting a Supe

From what I could tell there were loads and loads of cars there, shame no-one realised that there was some ship there or something that people wanted to look at (weird) hense there being no parking spaces...

Agreed on the not wanting to see Southampton in rush hour- what a nightmare!! Lots of very cool cars, and Tanx- hope you and your missus will come to more- nice 300 :)

For those of you that didn't sneak off early (naughty!) we had some drinks and then went for a convoy as planned, was hilarious as everyone followed the bournemouth boys onto the M27 West when we needed to go East, so turning round and getting back together was interesting!!
Everyone needs radios! What a difference they make! :D

Think I've thought of a place for the next one so we need to decide if we should make it a Monday night thing again?

Whitesupraboy2
11-01-04, 22:02
i thought some followed us but were some good blasts happening on M27 and did enjoy it, the noise from the cars was awesome!

If it a monday night i just cant do, due to work commitments...i have to look my best and it hard enough as it is!lol

She wanted to walk home by way, she said u go off and play with ur friends and their cars! patronising or wat! lol

Top meet :D Shame it took us so long to get there :( And the convoy from in the eve got many lost!

Headed off about 7:30 from Lee-on-Solent up the A32 home through Alton - quiet, cool road - man what a great blast! Shame when I hit the A31 the heavens really opened making it almost impossible to see

Good to see everyone again, but I think we missed quite a few :(

Can't really say anything that hasn't already been said. Great meet, nice to see some old faces and so many new ones too. Traffic and parking was a pain, but at least we all got in there in the end. Hopefully the club has made a good impression with other clubs about our ability to organise good meets. I know the events moderator on TOC was certainly interested in getting a lot mkivsupra.net members along to their meets.

Here's (http://www.lee-mawby.net/) my contribution to the piccies.

Hopefully see some of you at the next meet.

yeah well, 240 miles of wasted journey really.. however the convoy down from Fleet was fun :) So that made it a good laff.

I just felt we got there way too late and the amount of traffic was ridiculous. My m8 who works down there couldnt believe how busy it was and when we eventually got to the carpark everyone was leaving.

We left trying to follow some people thinking they were moving to some other place but no.. so we went home. Meh. :sly:

Ah, damn! That would properly suck, I didn't realise you left straight away.. definitely a waste of a journey then!

I was worried I was going to end up doing the same.. with all the crap from the motorways up my windscreen, I could no longer read ANY signs at all and got totally lost.. then thought of calling on Millhouse's Southampton knowledge and he led me there :)

What time did you arrive? Security told people to leave about 4:30 or 5 ish I think?? Loads of us stayed though, but I think only the Supra peeps.

Going passed an unmarked T5 at 90+ wasnt the highlight of my day either.

Well I think this could have been the mother of all meets if it had been tweaked a little and it hadnt been so busy in both the car park and en-route

Good to meet everyone that I did.

Dude it was me that asked you about portsmouth.

I just have to say Southampton traffic isnt usually that bad even in rush hour, it was that damm boat and everyone wanting to look at it. Same happened when the Orianna first came in.

As for the clamp, bad luck, id have gone home got my tools and cut the damm thing off.

What was goin on with the site today?? been dying to post up!!

Great meet, Some lovely motors there and good to catch up with the majority.

I had a very eventful trip home to say the least!! First of all i was following everyone, then a few got muddled up and i ended up following a red supe and a white supe (think it may have been Whitesupraboy)to Bournemouth, but then turned round and met up with Rob B again. We decided to make our way back, he was following me and i managed to miss the M3 exit!! Rob didnt so i tried catching him up, to no avail i must add cos he ended up missing the M25 turn off!! :p Anyways, a white scooby pulled up next to me on the M25 and kept overtaking and then undertaking, so i just floored it big time. He tried to keep up but couldnt, think he bottled it in the end. I ended up hitting 150mph and thought id best slow down. 2 minutes later i saw flashing blue lights in my rear view and to say i shat myself would be an understatement!! :( I pulled over to the middle lane and he went straight past me! (how fortunate)

Then a few miles up the road ive seen hes pulled over an Audi TT (phew!!!), just as i saw this an amazingly good looking blonde in a clio pull up next to me and gives me the thumbs up!! (wasnt sure if it was for me or the car, probably the car!! lol) and for the majority of the way home i was car flirting (just overtaking each other) Shame she didnt pull into Clacket Lane services :(

Ah well maybe next time!!

Anyway Great meet, gonna try and make this weekend, if not see you next month.

Catching up on some posts as I haven' been able to get on here until now.

That was probably my fault that about you lot following us to Bournmouth, couldn't be bothered to wait behind all the cars parked in line and started to drive off with the B'mth lot behind me!!! Thought we had a good convoy back, couldn't see very well though as was always at the front:D

Feel better now I have sttled my drinks debt to you (nagging:D ) peeps. Got off lightly though, even offereed Rosie, Ash Willis and a few others drinks but got away with those as well:D

Just as well the traffic was busy, you little N/a's didn't get a chance to try it on. WSB2, I know you were gonna give it a go, why punish yourself though;)

It was a good laugh in the pub though and a very enjoyable day, persuaded me to keep the Supe for a couple months longer at least:)

The reason why I left cause I was told security were kicking us out.:( Japspeed was towards the docks but I think many people went towards the city centre including me until I met up with a bloke driving an FTO. He had just got back from shopping and just so happened to be beside me when I got lost so he showed the way. Here's to the next one!:eyebrows:

Well I've finally managed to get on here, been trying all day :(

Fantastic turn out and yes the bloody traffic has been mentioned a few times, I hope this doesn't put anyone coming down again, it's not usually like that!

Got my pics sorted today, can be seen here (http://www.mwhite.dsl.pipex.com/galleryleisure.htm)

Great to see some new people along, met CJ and Gordon F [thanks for letting me out in the queue] and good to see the usual people

Gonna seriously think about next Sunday :)

Cool meet everybody. Yeh definetly cool...I was freezing. My friend who picked my up in his Vitara had the top off! I mean what was thinking! We looked like a right bunch of _____!
Nice to put some names to faces. Top car James. Oh yeh did I tell you that one of you reverse lights is out (just kidding):p
I was impressed with Mandy's mobile disco aswell! Nice rear build
I felt bit like a kid in the arcades with no money not having my supe with me.
Definetly look forward to the next meet. Nobody order any traffic next time! Think that took out the potential.

Nice to see me Supra mates again, despite continually slapping the ass off of me 400 (ish) horses against the forces of meterological resistance.

The Elements and everything were against us all...and some stupid twat had decidid to plonk a ship the size of a South London Council Estate in the middle of it all (which didn't help)

With Supragal at the Helm and Millhouse and Ashley Willis at Supra Traffic Control we were zoned in and landed eventually.

Bit too late ta meet the people I've never met (nev mind)

Cheers To Rosie (Supragal) for everyfink and Mawby for takin us to that really nice pub with blazing fires, Amazing Grace for the offer of her spare Woolly, and Ash (Oxy) for stopping when my comms antenna took off at 130 leps on way back lol.

Highlight of the day for me was a load of kids in the passenger seat of thier Dads £90k AMG Merc leaning outa window shouting "Wow nice car mate" and puting thumbs up, whilst their Dad was trying to shut em up lol...RESULT

I'd also like to thank my Producer my agent and the good British public for driving 'shit cars' in the fast lane and holding the Convoy up.

:D Cheers :) They are some weird jap make (Longchamp XR4 - sounds like a ford!!!), can't find out anything about them and haven't seen any others, but they are 17s and fit over UK brakes so that was a result!

On a different note, the thing that was good about the convoy was a fair few different makes that could have sparked rivalry, but everyone was letting people out etc - was good to see :)

a great turnout but a shame that there were traffic and security related problems that led to people leaving the meet half an hour after it 'started'. Next time we need to clear it with the owners that we are bringing 100+ cars to a meet in their car park. Common courtesy really.
Fleet services looks a great place for a Sunday meet. Easy access, massive car park, plenty of food, optimax and a nice bit of road to run the cars up and down.
Shame about Southampton. I left to go to Japspeed, got lost and went home :(

Great to see you all!!!
Ash and I were late leaving home giving birth to chess men that we were going to meet at the Fleet Services late and miss everyone,phew... we were so glad that peeps were running late, although So sorry Rosie that your bunch had such an unpleasant experience on the way there! Had so much fun on the motorway on way down to S'hampton apart from plonker in white van who pulled into outside lane just as I was steping on the peddel chasing Hisupe and Ash who were traveling swiftly away. Many thankx to the peeps who took the pics(Bobbeh and Suprapunk) who got some great pics of my baby. Lovely to meet new peeps in the pub Ashley Clair Millhouse Rob C and everyone else. So pixxed off I had to leave early but my alarm kept going off even after I disarmed it! Went to garage today I need a new battery so will pick it up on friday. Lets do this again really soon. AG- good to see you again too. Hope you get the alarm sorted.

Problem with letting car parks know you're gonna be there is that the don't have a phone number generally! The prob with this one was that is suddenly went crazy on the numbers after the venue was decided so there wasn't a lot that could be done. I reckon it woulda been fine if it wasn't for the boat. Next time will be cool. Need to find some private land that we can use.

Steve W- I heard a rumour you'd made it down! Didn't say hi eh?

What happened to Matt Harwood? After rearranging the day just so he could attend...did anyone see him?! lol Actually, what about Sextons for a meet? :D

Guys, what a top day, and a change for me, as this was Clairs first meet in her car, she drove all day, so I took advantage of getting myself way past the drink drive limit, and with Kev around my head was soon feeling a bit slow by the final drive home. We started of late as usual, and after picking up Shaf, we we're costantly playing catch up down the M3 to catch up with Rob And others (sorry dude, I didnt get to meet ya......) and eventually caught them up while everyone was Q'ing to get in. Shame a lot of you didnt know that we were hanging around, because after the few drinks in the pub, the drive to Leyont-Solent (sp) was quite funny. I think ended up following people home to Bournmouth, so on the A31 when everyone had direct instructions to turn off at the small services, everyone still carried on, at which point we then took to the front and headed everyone around, you TT's nead us NA's.

But eventually we found our final location, much to Far's wonder.

Si, you really need to get yourself organised dude, the only person that can get lost with SAT NAV.

Rosie, Lee + Mrs Mawby, Si, Kev, Tony, Amazing grace, Jive and lady, @sh, Steve W2 and others, really get confusing so sorry......... good to meet you all.

PS. Yeah, the convoy was pretty funny, until I realised that I had been burnin' it for about 20 mins in the opposite direction to home ! Then when heading up the M3 to the M25 I forgot to turn off at J2 and ended up in Feltham with signs saying Central London :sly: !!!! Was like, D'OH !!!! ;)

Hi Supra buddies
Had an eeeeeeeeexcellent time, good to meet so many buddies old and new, unfortunately I missed loads of you though cos I was one of the convoy who went to Japspeed, but I was told everybody was going down there. Well to say I was part of the convoy is not quite right, I got broken away from the main convoy and eventually made it to Japspeed, Im local and I got lost loads of times it was only thanks to Paul E (Matrix unloaded)guiding me in by mobile that I made it there at all. Anyway its a pity there was a bleeding great boat in Southampton water that made it so busy and split us up, great day but lets try it without Queen Mary 2.
A day for coats and they came - Paul E in his Neo coat, I was waiting for him to go shooting into the air......but not even a back flip, and Dude I didnt know whether he was wearing anything on top......so hairy.
Ash thanks for the mirror Ill put it back in the supe pile.
Kev (Millhouse) thanks for the samples can you pm your mates contact details cos it will probably take me quite a time to choose.
CJ a pleasure to meet you mate and thanks for the kind words about my baby, I had to give her a nice wash when I got home to take of all that nasty road dirt.
