Fmic And Oem Airbox

Usually you have to have an aftermarket induction kit, however if you get a pipe custom made there is no reason why you cannot have the stock box. You also have to make sure with the stock box allows ample room for the intercooler pipe to go into the wing.

I was going to fit my old UK spec with the stock box but it did not fit, I needed about 2 inches more room.

Am i able to run a FMIC with the standard box or do i have to get an induction kit due to where the pipes go?

can someone clarify this rumour ive heard

thankyou

It all depends on the FMIC you're fitting, most of the decent Japanese branded ones fit with the stock airbox, the cheap ebay ones tend not to.

IMO unless youre running big boost figures and big power an fmic is mostly for show. But I suppose in a way its future-proofing cos plans always change lol. Nic, mate of mine bought a pukka GReddy kit for his Soarer and that stated you had to replace the standard airbox.
