Made some new shifter linkage bushes today. MVP do something similar where they replace the old toyota bushes with solid ones for $90, and after reading someones post of supraforums on what a difference they make i decided to have a bash at making some myself.

When i got the gear shifter linkage out i could literally push the bushes apart with my finger they were so old and knackered.

The outer metal part of the ring was firm in and needed tapping out.

New bushes i just made out of solid ally and were a press fit.

I used the original bolts for the new bushes

All fitted!

I was able to test it out with my gear knob that i made a couple of months ago too

Final verdict=GOOD!

The gear selection seems so precise and tidy now without fear of missing a gear change :D
