Black front indicators.

Im going to try and make my supe as stelth as possible, but one thing i cant seem to find is black indicator lenses for the front bumper. Does anyone know where i can get them from? or do i need to do some spraying?

im not sure if you can buy them. ive sprayed mine with some normal tint spray. there completly black now and kinda flash more red than orange but look good so i like um.

Yeh i tinted mine too, bought some of that boy racer light tint spray, they do it in all sorts of colours, or they did, i think its by rage or something like that, just buy black and 2-3 coats and they look great and still shine orange.

yea that i think looks so smart. that exactly how i want mine rather then horrible orange colour.

So you think i should just spray them?

are they easy to remove?

Yeh but you have to remove the headlights.

yep just take out the headlights and then 2 bolts hold them in

could you not get some facelift clear ones and spray the inside black?

si thats made me think now lol. well im going to buy some pre lift headlamps off simon lc so the lamps would have to come out anyways.

i managed to take them off without taking the headlights out

was awkward thou. just reached around the back of the indicator and undone the 3 bolts, one either side then the top 1 mines as dark as the pic above.does look good

it only takes 5min to get the head lights out

daston how do you take the headlights out while we are on this subject

you will have 1 10mm bolt on the inside edge of the lamp (along where the bonnet shuts)

There are then 2 10mm nuts on the back on the outside edge (tucked under the wing). I find its easier to unplug the wires before undoing them as you can see a bit more then.

They then just pull out.

would it be easier doing it underneath the car? or is there enough room to get to the bolts on top?

just be careful with tint spray, done this to some indicator lenses on my celica, failed on the MOT the guy made me clean the lenses of all the tint.

back in the day of my first car i got pulled by cops after tinting my rear lights with that stuff. not mot legal they told me, obv i wet myself and said okay.

i would take you headlights out as it talkes less then 10 mins to whip them both out. 3 screws on each then u have plenty of acess to the indicators.

i think ive talked myself into tinting the insides of my new clear indicators, if it goes well i will sort out the headlights the same way

have also got my indicators tinted black

but never thought of doing the inside of facelift ones! might have to give that a go
