Was black interior carpet rare?

Was this a rare option in Japan? I also have the pure sport mats too?

Ever supra i see has a grey interior flooring.

Think it was an expensive option with Pre-Facelifts and std with facelifts.

Could be wrong though.

Mine is an RZ facelift (i think thats right) and has black carpet and black leatheretter roof.

mines rz s its got black aswell with pure sports mats to.

Don't think the pure sports mats are anything but an option.

I know my 94 SZ had them.

No, it was an option in pre-facelifts. Facelifts came standard with it. Not sure if it was model dependant though.

If you do a search on the differences of models etc on here you will see the options and std equipment accross the range.

my gz pre facelift is grey. although im getting new black mats to cover it up

Can't be sure but i don't think thats the way it worked. I've seen pre-facelift black cars with cream. Can't comment on white as i don't recall any but Black is a definite.

I asked a while ago about the black carpets and i was told they were stock on facelifts. I can't remember if they said RZ only though along with the seats etc.

Yeah, UK's have it AFAIK with the cream leather also.

My supra used to be white and had grey carpets so I dont think that was the way they did it.

A quick DIY jobbie with carpet dye and they're totally black now

On the pre facelifts, the black carpets seem to be extremely rare. Regardless of body colour all came with grey carpets, except a very small amount which had black (must have been an option?)

AFAIK the only UK's to come with black carpet were those with white paintwork.

Black carpets on the facelifts seems to be the norm.

I dont really care about how rare they are £20 see`s them right with a big tub of black dye even though i need to keep dying parts of them coz my roof leaks:( i want to cover my roof with black alcantra aswell

Very rare AFAIK, guessing it would have been a very expensive optional extra, unless it was bought and fitted after.

As far as i know she came with it, since she's completely stock atm
