T-cutting my headlights

Hi i have found out to use t-cut on my headlights to get rid of the yellow on the outside. I only have metallic green will that be ok using??

I wouldn't put coloured t-cut near clear tbh. I think they have dying properties, i could be wrong though.

Good job i asked then, i was just about to go out and do it. Ive found on the net that Brasso works to but to mask on the body as it eats through paint is that right?

get yourself a decent polishing compound as that will make quick work of the yellowing. I have always used Farecla compounds although not the cheapest they are well worth the extra cash.

I do have brasso, the only polish i have is a 2 year old turtle wax, i Usually supply the cloths and my mates get the polish.

Take the lights out and do a proper job of it

Just i few bolts to take out then, So brasso will work best over the turtle wax

3 bolts that holds then in all 10mm, the hard or tricky bit is sepearting the lenses from the light unit. I found the best way was to hover the light over the cooker hob untill the sealent starts to soften and using a knife or similar tool to carefully prise the unit open.

Ive read about that but alot of people seem to have destroyed there lights by doing that.

If your oven can take them set it at about 80 degrees and whack them in there for 10 mins.

If they don't fit use a hairdryer (thats what i used)

No problems as long as you don't overheat the plastic.

I actually tried my turtle wax yesterday before i started to take my light out and it seems to have worked, just gone on out to check and they are still clear.

plastx works for me too ------autosolvo chrome cleaner is good to

i notice 2 clips on the top of the headlamps.. can you take the lens off?
