Well hello fella's

Wanted to let you in on the new update on the MAP ECU II to bring us one step closer to the standalone without cashing in for one! We have released a new firmware update "3.11" that will now open SO many new features that have been recommended by you! This would be the best thing if your under a budget and still want to monitor and control most anything under the bonnet. It comes with the new Firmware that features new modes and Pressure Sensor configurations for all your NA or Turbo Setups. This now can use a MAF or MAP Y-axis Intercept that makes a quick and easy tune more like the AFC does if you don't want to get it tuned in other modes or by a professional.

As I'm sure you know the MAP ECU II now allows you to control timing, but with some new features you can go one step further.

We now have the option to use a PRIMARY and SECONDARY table for all features if you want to run dual MAP's or have a Low Boost and High boost tune using pump or Race fuel, which will allow you to have a fuel map and timing map along with all the other features listed below for primary and secondary by the flip of a toggle switch, great feature!!

We have added the Knock Ability to monitor knock while tuning which will help when advancing or retarding timing to get the most power out of your motor. It will automatically read knock and retard timing by what you have inputted in the ECU to apply.

It is also using a Speed Cut and Fuel Cut that will save you the money and extra hassle in buying it from Greddy or HKS and make this more of a value in your pocket.

Launch Control is a great feature that will put this one step closer to a standalone and still save you money and has been proven many times to work like a charm.

It has 2 NOS Activation controls for all you guys running a big setup with Nitrous and wanting to run Dual Stage this would make it perfect for your application.

Something that we have all been waiting for that it now features is if your having a problem with altitude and getting it tuned and traveling and messing up a tune then we have solved your problem, we use an external MAP Sensor and use the on board MAP Sensor to follow the Barometric compensation and make it read LIVE altitude!!! So when you go up in elevation thousands of feet you wont have to reset your ECU.

The Boost Control Feature is quite simple if you want to control boost and save money and not spend it on an expensive HKS or Greddy item then again it solves all problems and will allow you to adjust boost in MAP CAL using the External or Internal "Fast Spool" option.

The MAP ECU II has an O2 Adjust to allow you to setup and fool the stock ECU if your KVF and your ECU is fighting the new tune, you can fool it with the O2 Adjust to make it see what it wants and still have the ability to tune in closed loop.

Guys, I cannot stress how much money this will save you in the long run for only $695 this is a STEAL!!!!

Please feel free to ask any further questions regarding this if needed!

Cheers,
Joe

How'd you like to get involved with mine?

I have some bigger plans for my Supra going forwards but first of all I have my eyes on taking the UK top 1/4 mile time record for a Supra running stock or stock based turbos. I'm number 3 on the list just now and the 2x guys above me both have run hybrids at high boost / cams etc. to get their times - things I don't have. We all use race fuel at the strip.

My current best was run at Elvington airfield and was an 11.90 @ 113MPH with modest ignition advance and 1.1 bar boost in stock sequential mode. Later in the day the conditions changed and I got more adventurous with the ignition advance and managed an 11.92 @ 121mph - shows you the power is there with the stock JDM ceramics, as far as I'm aware that's the terminal speed record for Supra JDM ceramics worldwide and is the terminal speed record for any Supra in the UK with stock or stock based turbos.

I want to push the stock ceramics / standard cams as far as possible so to me I need to run a fully optimised setup at Santa Pod - the right tyres, fuel and mapping. I have the boost control add on for the MAP2 which I've not installed or used yet so that's an option as is mapping by someone more experienced than myself and possibly ETTC on a switch making use of the secondary map function of MAP2, fully mapped and optimised for parallel operation to see just what difference it will make at the strip.

The time to beat is an 11.65 @ 120mph - I want to see if that can be beaten by a good margin with a relatively stock JDM Supra especially engine wise. So far on crap airfield surfaces my best 60ft time has been 1.8 on BFG's - at Santa Pod I should be able to get that down to 1.5. The rule of thumb is what you save on the 60ft, you save 3x that on the 1/4 ET - so there's real scope for a pretty amazing time with the perfect setup, the perfect launch and aggressive race fuel mapping.

Bit of a hijack on your thread Joe but it shows the possibilites of what has already been achieved and what can be achieved with a MAP ECU2 on a JDM Supra.

Cheers,

Brian.
