do you get much more power with a pump pipe or a cat back system does the same job? or will the J-spec stock dump pipe do the job? and if i get a cat back will i only have to use the stock cat on the dump pipe and f*ck the 1 off on the exhaust?

Youre in Australia buddy, you must have heard of Lew Radbourne? He makes dump pipes for the 1JZ, not cheap but high quality. Just google him. Dump pipes to me mean ditching the standard, post turbo Y pipe and replacing it with seperate pipes from each turbo. That what you mean?

I would have thought so, the pipe that bolts direct to the turbo is usually referred to as the dump pipe.
