Hiya all it Joseph from llanishen cardiff, have had a long hard think, and have come to the decision in selling my n/a MK4 supra and getting the Twin Turbo Manuel Supra MK4,have spent enough on my n/a and it goes well for a non turbo, but allot of my mates and my mates at hyeline performance believe that its time i should drive a turbo especially if i want to hit the 400-500bhp mark which is what i want, will be starting to save money by the end of this month, and maybe will be driving a red manuel twin turbo supra after the summer, the bodykit, and gauges and auto timer i was going to put on the n/a i will be saving to put on the TT, will also add the peromance bars and airfilter if the TT Supra i get is standard, will swap the bonnet and the wheels too, because i like the look and the kit would be awsome all together, apart from this i will be leaving the car the way it is.

You could go all out and get a 6spd conversion along with a bpu turbo conversion for around 7k. Just an idea if you like the car you have. Will also mean you know the history and you know the condition of the engine and gearbox.

Depends what you go for mate if you was to go NA-TT then BPU with FMIC, boost controller etc which can cost around 4k you looking at over 400bhp

see now that the kind of thing i want to be hearing, if was to save money and get the TT at around 8 - 10k i would have to start all over again with exhaust pipes decats and air filters, end spending more on the TT like 15k, thinking about it now and hearing from people who had the same experience as me, i am starting to sway in keeping my car.

NA to TT engine transplant - step by step guide - what could possibly go wrong :)

thats a complete engine swap, 4k is for the engine and conponents to produce 400bhp i understand, how much is it to have it all done? i can have my mate at Hyeline Performance do it, but they ain't going to do it free. what about just bolting the turbo onto the engine using a turbo kit designed for the 2JZ-GE N/A supra, and get 400bhp from that.

Thats the most cost effective way of getting and NA supra to 400bhp, by putting a TT engine in it. Its not as hard as you would think ;)

there is proberly a few guys that know more about turboing the NA engine.

Perhaps something like the PowerHouse Racing bolt on turbo kit for the NA supra, as supplied by Whifbitz, then?

http://www.whifbitz.co.uk/supra-turbo.html :) (£3.1k, plus labour I'm guessing)

I'm sure Paul can provide ample options for increasing power, if asked ...

EDIT: Some more details on the kit at http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateH.asp?SubFolderID=802&SearchYN=N

No problem - I've been wondering if I should add a turbo to my na at some point, myself. And we're all on commission from Whifbitz, here ;)
