Guys I can expalin the TRD Vin Plates

TRD VIN: TRDJZA80VIN compared to TRDJA80VIN

Explantion

VIN JA80 (Post 96.5 production)

If you take alook at the Parts list below, you will notice the part is JA80 because it was manufactured from 96.5 in conjuction with the facelift Supra (not too sure if there any dementional differences between the non-facelift and Facelift model but different holes for side light in front bumper are there)

Description Part No. Code List Price(JPY) Remarks

Wide body kit 51700-JA800 H 925, 000 FRP made, -96.5

http://trdparts.jp/english/parts_aero-supra.html

VIN JZA80 (Post 94 production to 96.5)

The JZA80 Parts where for the non-facelift model, small little differences like side lights not present

Why not 1993 when the Supra was produced??

The TRD3000GT kit was release by TRD at the 1994 Tokyo auto Salon

Section 1994

http://translate.google.com/translat...hl=en&ie=UTF-8

Conclusion

If you car has the TRD JA80 VIN it was kitted out by TRD Technocraft and if you car has TRD JZA80 it was kitted out by TRD Technocraft too

If a car has a TRD VIN it is an offical TRD car, the VIN basically illustrates what time frame the kit was manufactured by TRD

the white supra was ja80 1994 model, i dont think that says anything just maybe what you might like to believe..(sorry mate am not being funny).. but you cant compare your TRD supra to the blue on or the white one we have imported and sold..(you can see they are world apart) in quality and build..

yes your car is very nice but not in the same league as the other two.

A Supra could be producted by Toyota in 1993 and Kitted out by TRD Technocraft post 96.5 illustrated by a TRDJA80VIN

Did u not read the examples, For somebody who cannot explain the VIN plates himself you are adamint for some reason your cars are "Authentic" and mine is not yet I dont know about anybody else but "worlds apart" I dont know how u see that, to me they look no different taking the bias out of the equation, if they where I would hold my hands up fair enough

And even to further back up my findings, you white Supra has the side lights in the front bumper indicating it was a post 1996 parts therfore a TRDJA80 VIN

Not trying to be funny if you Supra is so Authenic why does it not have the TRD hood??

To be honest with you I am just trying to find out TRD3000GT history not to prove my car is authentic (because I know that already) but just for the love of the car

All the research I have done and the more I find keeps on bringing me back to the above

WIKI WebSite

In 1998, Toyota Racing Development [2] offered an official kit body conversion and tuning program for MR2 owners to transform their existing SW20 MR2 into a widebody TRD2000GT kit replica car. This was to pay homage to the wins by their TRD2000GTs in the GT-C Japanese racing series, the TRD2000GT racing series cars were based on the SW20 floorpan. Toyota also did the same with their Supra Twin Turbo model, offering a conversion service to transform these cars into a TRD3000GT[3].

In order to ensure exclusivity, a high price tag was charged and total of just 35 factory car conversions were completed by Toyota Technocraft Ltd.

as you can see by the pictures its a hell of a car and looks genuine.. your looks retro fitted which it was as it was done in 2002 or 2005 (not sure when you said it was done).

now you mention the indicators i dont think that has anything to do with it..

both the white and blue supra were like these from 0KM..

Mine has covers under the grill but the car on Supra Store doesnt, I assume covers are the norm

The covers fit the contours of the bonnet perfect
