hodge
These are a good ecu upgrade if you want to stay BPU. From memory they lift you boost to 1.1, remove fuel cut and delimiter.
Alex
Manual ONLY. Otherwise yep they are quite good - make sure you're only using Super Unleaded (v-Power etc) too...
hodge
I didnt relise mines ecu was just for manuals. Do they do an option for autos.
Scott
I have one on my car. Raises the Rev limit to 8k, ups the boost to 1bar and removes the fuel cut.
Guest sunnyG83
Yes mate they do an Auto version as i run one on my J-spec auto tt. Terminator has the low-down on these bad boys as i asked him plenty of questions when i bought mine off him
jacko
apparently the auto ecu works on the manual as well, but not the other way round. because the manual ecu hasnt got the control bits for the auto box
jacko
Is it true that the auto ecu works on a manual?
Guest sunnyG83
i dont think so mate, then why would they bother making a seperate Auto-version and a Manual-Version.
jacko
Well the auto one has the stuff for the auto box in it, but the manual doesnt. Ive put an auto ecu in mine and it runs ok, but seems to limit boost in 1st nd 2nd and also wont let me rev over 4k in neutral. Is this a feature in all Mines ecu's? Or is it because im running an auto ecu on a manual?
Scott
I'm gonna guess auto on a manual. I don't think i get full boost in 1st or 2nd either though. Safety thing.
jacko
is yours a manual? what about the not revving over 4k in neutral thing?
Scott
Yeah mine is a manual. I think the not revving over 4k in neutral will be something to do with the auto ECU as mine revs all the way to 8k. Either that or something seriously wrong. One of the guys that own an auto will know better as i assume it would be a feature across the range of ECU's and not just on the mines one. jacko
Yea, the person i bought it from used to run it on his manual and he said it was fine. Im going to get ir rolling roaded soon, with the standard ecu and with the Mines, see what difference it makes
