I was looking for a decent double DIN unit to replace the standard Toyota one, but they seem to be really thin on the ground. Are there any decent ones?
If people go with a single-height unit, what do you fill the gap left over with?
(am I even using the right terminology here? Double DIN means twice the height of a normal head unit... doesn't it?)
:conf:
Use the search Luke :p ;)
I posted this just over 1 month ago :D

As for Double DIN - yes you are correct, and all the ones available in this country are plain nasty  :(
I went for a Sony CDXMP80 H/U as I already had a sony 10 disk changer and 6 MD changer. Coupled with Focal speakers all round it sounds ace :D
If you do buy anything give Matt H a shout, his prices are hard to beat ;)
HTH mate :)

Ah, cool (although I would never have found that thread via a search!)
If there are no decent Double DINs I might as well move my Pioneer one over from my 200SX then. Nothing amazing (although it did win Max Power's 'Best under £150 award', hehe), but I like the easy-to-grope-for buttons for volume and fwd/back CD tracks.
Well... in the short term at least. I keep meaning to investigate these animated screen jobbies...
Yeah - go with the single mate - you then get a useful pocket, or can use it to fit a boost controller, defi controller etc into :D
