jevansio
I've got a load of questions regarding wheel fitment, if you could confirm or answer my statements / questions that would be great. Stock wheels are 8" front & 9" rear with an offset of 50 all round? As you decrease the offset (10mm say) the entire wheel moves out (10mm). As you increase the width (1/2 inch say) each edge (inner & outer) of the rim moves half that distance away from the centreline (1/4 inch in this case). So if I changed the fronts to 8.5" rims with an offset of 40mm I calculated the entire wheel would move out 10mm then each edge would push out 1/4" (6.35mm), meaning the inner rim edge would sit 3.65mm further out than normal & the outer rim edge would sit 16.35mm further out than normal. Can anyone confirm my calculations are correct as they are the basis for me getting the correct size & offset. I'm pondering dropping my wheels to lightweight 18's, CE28N's are my current favourite based on weight & looks. I know Mike B is getting some (with an offset of 47), he also says they come in an offset of 42. Are these the only offsets you can choose (I'm not really bothered about going under 40, but do they come in 40 or 45 etc). I've decided fronts will be 8.5 (if the 47's clear my UK brakes I'll get them if not it'll have to be the 42's). On the back can't decide if I should get 9.5 with a 47 offset or 10 with a 42 offset. Any opinions / reasons why one would be preferred over the other. Onto brakes, if I was to ever replace the UKs with Brembo are the Brembo calipers (4 Pot big brake kit) bigger than the UK ones (meaning if I get the wheels @ 47 offset to just say clear the UKs I'll have no chance getting them over the Brembos), if this is the case I'd rather not take any chances on the front & just get a 42 offset (assuming they would clear?????) Finally any pics of bronze CE28N's on black stock Supra's anyone has would be appreciated, ta

You could print out the PDFs and resize them to 'real' size, print them out and make some card templates to check inside
