I now have this plate on retention so there is no transfer fee. I'm looking for £1000 for the plate, but open to sensible offers :)

Is it legal been so many threads on here recently about number plates,I dont think my front one is but hey never been stopped in three years yet!!!Really considering about buying a car off the site, will have to wait till Devils Advocate comes back from France tmorrow but i am interested.:)Depends if I an come to some to arrangement with the guy.Not spoken to him yet , the car is very tempting but i am gonna wait to speak to my better half.kaz;)
If I can sort of persuade him into getting me the car I would be interested in the no plate but perhaps a bit cheeper!!!:d
The picture is of the plate on the previous owners car. You can make the plate up however you like.
The plate looks fairly legal (spacing wise) to be honest. The only thing he's done is placed the screw hole in a convenient place ;)
get back to you tmorrow when hubby gets back from france,pm me if i forget
kaz:rolleyes:
That plate used to be on my car!!! If only I had the money for it I'd have it :(
My Supra was first registered with that plate many moons ago. I bought the car off Graham S who offered me the plates with the car but I didn't have the extra dosh then and I still haven't
This is still on retention :)

Yup I know, but if you take a look on the DVLA number plate website you'll see that this type of number plate isn't worth what you want it to be

Really? The only ones I could find were from a 'V' plate and newer, which 95% of us couldn't transfer onto our car.

Yeh, theres some here. maybe not as desirable as yours with it being 'L50' but the same kind of plate which could be made to look like an 's' for Supra
http://www.dvlaregistrations.co.uk/home/en/Search/p/prefix?searched=yes&prefix=L&numbers=all&letter1=P&letter2=R&letter3=A&x=67&y=10&start=0
and some 'boost' number plates...
http://www.dvlaregistrations.co.uk/home/en/Search/p/prefix?searched=yes&prefix=L&numbers=all&letter1=O&letter2=S&letter3=T&pricefrom=&priceto=&x=63&y=11
All within the £300 mark

Well I'm happy to compromise on price a little, however I didn't intend for this to be an auction so I'll wait until I get offered the sort of money I'm looking for :)

A number plate has a top value of what people want to pay for it. If you want 10 grand for it and someone want to pay it (all be it stupid) then thats what it is worth. We see number plates being advertised all the time for thousands and yes they are worth it but only because the seller knows that people will pay it.
I purchased a plate from DVLA and it cost me £350 I think, but I have had offers in the 2K5 reagions so!!!!
