Ewen
Anyone else suffering from UV attack on their CF 'TRD style' wings ? On mine its like a white cloudy discolouration...Im assuming its caused by non UV stable epoxy. I can get it almost back to high gloss using Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detailer funnily enough, but the effect only lasts a week or so. RobSheffield
When you say 'fake' where was it purchased from?
Ewen
When you say 'fake' where was it purchased from? Ive edited the wording to make it sound nicer... Im talking about the carbon fibre 'TRD style' copies from Nic. Ive no beef, just a question. It could be I have a bad one, it could be common....I have the same issue with my (not from Nic) Seibon CF lip.
RobSheffield
Thats what i was wondering - i got mine from Nic, mine was the first of Nic's into the UK and as far as i can tell its not discoloured. It took me about a year to remember to fit the offside screw cover and there is no difference, besides, where it gets parked one side of it never sees any sun and as far as my totally untrained eye can see its the same. Maybe you just have stronger sun down there - oh wait, yeah thats probably it, we dont get any sun in Yorkshire
CarlT67
Mine was going that way just before I sold it. I believe it is a build up of moisture under the lacquer between itself and the carbon. The only way to remove is to sand back the lacquer and reapply I think.
Pete
A lot of CF stuff goes this way. Thankfully mine hasn't yet.

Gaz6002
I thought this was due to the laquer over the CF coming apart and letting water in? If there is a solution I know a guy with an RX7 who would like to know.
