Wazz72
Ive changed the fuel pump 2 days ago. opened my car and moved it across the drive, worked fine, but I could smell fuel. When I was replacing the pump, some fuel splurged out, could this be what I can smell. I replaced the sealing ring and the juballie clip. Any Ideas? Havard
How good are your fuel lines? Mine had corroded above the rear suspension arms. I doubt it would be this unless you have moved the pipe much recently. Don't go looking in the dark with a lighter...... H.
miko_supra
Have you gone back to check the the pump? I had a smell of petrol in my car and it was just one of the banjo bolts needed a quarter turn. it was all damp around that area and you could see where it had been coming from
Wazz72
Ive just checked it again. Still reeks of fuel. Could it be the locking ring isnt tight enough? I thought it was tight enough. Theres no movement when you wobble any of the fuel pipes going in. Also the fuel isnt going down on the gauge. I replaced 1 of the lines that was about 6" long, at the front of the pump.
