HID Fitting Q

Do you only need to plug your ballasts into one of the standard headlight bulb connectors to pick up a signal for the HIDS? What do you do with the other standard headlight bulb connector? Tape it up?

There is no.........or should I say there should be no loose plug. When fitting HID lights both ends of the existing connections are used iirc.

Some Hid kits use relays to take the power for the ballasts directly from the battery.

In this case only one stock wiring harness that supplied the existing bulbs is used, it doesn't matter if it's the left or right. The other can just be taped up to prevent dirt getting in.

In the kits that don't have relays then both stock wiring harnesses that supplied the existing bulbs are used to supply the power to the ballasts.
