Started a few weeks back when the cold weather kicked in, although that's probably coincidence. To put it simply, the steering just got 'lumpy', from the off. Instead of being smooth and light, there's noticeably more resistance when moving off, then it smooths out as you straighten up. And if you're in a sharp turn it's hard to turn going in, smooth, then harder again until you straighten up.
The pump seems fine, no noise from it or rattling. Belt is ok, PS fluid is not clean but the levels are good and constant, no other symptoms. Any advice appreciated.
