SuperSupra
Got a spot of rust on my rear wheel arch. The black trim around the wheel arches are not there as I took them off when I was due to fit my spats (before changing my mind) so maybe this is the reason. Certainly can't help anyho. Any advice on how to cure it? Is it likely to need anything other than a cover up respray? I've never had rust on a car before. Also also does anyone anywhere have the black covers for the rear wheel arches in tact. I know they're a pain to remove without damaging them! JustGav
Depends, if it surface rust, you will need to sand the area down, treat it with rust treatment, and then sand/prime and finish... If it is through a panel, you really should cut out the bad bit and replace it.
Roger
As far as I can remember, Sand the rust off Get a rust neutralising agent or acid wash Primer Paint
bignum
You need to see if its come through from the inside, theres a double skin and if water gets in bingo rust, needs drying with hairdryer then treated/sealed/painted really.
