Been playin around with my stereo (which i think i will sell later if anyones interesed:innocent: )

Its a standard toyota bit of kit 'MONET' NMP-D50M C6004 (might be made by Pinoeer (well thats who makes the sat nav disc)

Its got CD/MD/FM/TV/Sat nav - but its in Japanese at the moment (Jap disc)

Kept pushing a botton on the side of the steering coloumn and get a woamn speaking japanese to you - Just found out it voice activated, its great BUT dont know japanese.

You can say "CD, MD, FM, AM, TV, Sat Nav, off", and it works fine but there are some other things such as 'display off' which it did when i said 'radio'

Anyone else got one of these head units and know what it does?
+ where to get a UK sat nav disc from. My local Toyota dealer said 'he couldnt get me one as theyre not allowed, try the web'

Regards

KONICHI WA! - That means good morning.:)

In a few months time Far may be able to help you out a bit more when his new 'adventurous' job role:p

If the unit is anything like my Pioneer Sat Nav system (brand new) you won't be able to get it converted.

:D

Yeah, good luck!

Would be a good idea though, a special voice translator thingy that you could both talk into. To be fair most Japs speak very good English, most Chinese can't speak a word of it outside of Shanghai! Makes for a very interesting time at dinner:confused:
