TopgunTT
Hi all, Just wondering if my battery goes completely flat will my alarm sound, or just go dead because i have no power Would i be better of turning the alarm off and locking it manually, my blue led still flashes so it still looks like its alarmed. SteveR
When the battery gets very low, the alarm will probably trigger and finish off the remaining charge (mine used to). I guess the alarm will use less power if it's off, but probably only to a marginal degree, and why risk a theft for the sake of a £5 trickle-charger stuck on every now and again? Be aware that some insurance policies will only pay out if the alarm/immob was active at the time of theft, how they would prove this I have no idea... TopgunTT
I have a 1.5 solar powered trickle charge but it isnt enough, think the alarm must be draining it.

Mine was fine for up to about 8 weeks at a time. (without any solar chargers etc)
Al Massey
what alarm do you have? on my clifford, after 15 mins it uses minimal power and the light only flashes every so often but the alarm has its own back up power too doubt the alarm would be draining your battery that much, i left mine for 5 weeks when i was away and it started first time using intelistart aswell
TopgunTT
I have the clifford 650 alarm, i know it flashes pretty fast but still shouldnt drain it, its so flat now it wont even tick over when i try and start it, possibly knackered battery? i normally drive it every 3-4 days. Thorin
Knackered battery then I'd say, I've left my car 2-3 weeks before and it's started first time.

Al Massey
you can change the settings of the alarm and warning light and how fast it will flash for incase you dont have the instructions look here http://www.directeddealers.com/manuals/og/clifford/G909730_01-04.pdf
