Actually its mainly to muffle road tyre noise.

It is used on any metal panels that vibrate ;)
This stuff was sold by me (i think.) it is perfect for the interior panels of cars,very easy to fit and makes a good difference when done properly.
Supplied to a few Oem car makers.
