View Full Version : Wanted drag legal tyres 17"

looking at a set of spare wheels to run for drag days.

what drag legal tyres are available?

wheels are likely to be 8.5j wide 17".

seem P275/40R17 bf goodrich g-Force™ T/A® Drag Radial but looks like id need a 9j rim.

any ideas?

Mikey Thompson Drag Radials mate. If it's just for one day I have a set of stock wheels with pretty bald BF Goodrich DR's on that will be going cheaply later in the week.

Yes as i have some for running to the strips ;)
mine are 275 ? 17s MT radials

Mine are 275/40/17 on 9Js they are semi slick so road legal. However Mt's also available for off road use only tend to be in american sizes such as 26.28" The road legal ones are dot marked too.

I am looking into a set of 16s as im hopefully going for 750+hp so my 17's might be up for grabs, You can expect to pay £200 each new for the semis.

found somewhere.

but all the sizes are like 15" or 16" and dont understand fitment or whats legal.

all i know is i have 18" 9wide on the rear.

may as well just fit r888's all round

Hmm may do the same, i just found out m3 wheels are the same fitment as the monaro so gonna see what the smallest wheel i can get over the AP's first.

camskill are uber cheap for toyo r888's!!!

2x 235/45/17

550 delivered. over £100 cheaper than somewhere else
