You may find this rather reduces the life of your turbos, as the BOV prevents the boosted air from backing up and stalling them when you lift off the throttle. Race cars get a way with no BOV as they get rebuilt all the time, but on a road car, you need it or I think it will be new turbos in a short while.

Singles have an external wastegate and that is what you can hear chattering on the Singles, not the turbo stalling.

As stated, Shane, the noise you can hear is your turbos stalling when the boosted air has nowhere to go when the throttle plate closes. 10,000 rpm to nothing - not good for them!

Wrong, the chattering noise isnt the wastegate as far as i know and is in fact compressor stall, some singles need to have two BOV's to avoid this.

Oh Well - learnt something new then.

Was sure it was to do with the external wastegate, but seems not :)

Wastegate makes a loud whooshing noice (if with a screamer pipe) when you have reached the boost level of either the WG spring pressure or boost controlled pressure.

Yeah, if you watch some of the vids on youtube, when you hear the big singles on full chat, you hear the wastegate open and the woosh sounds like a jumbo jet.
