Robzki
Hi all I did 610 kms on sunday which I worked out to be 380 miles? filled it up b4 leaving, and again when I got back at the same pump at the same garage used just under 54 litres which I worked out to be 11.87 gallons? so using my (bad) maths this worked out to 32mpg Is my working out correct? and also is this a usual mpg in a '95 tt auto, cos it seems a bit(lot) too good tbh. the mileage is def' correct as I have done this trip monthly for the last 8yrs in various vehicles. I also couldn't have been any more accurate with the refill. I get 23-24mpg for commuting 15mile each way and a few 'trips' out playing I didn't take it too easy 75-90mph on the mway and did 70 miles of crappy A roads at average to fun speeds. also had a 'few' practice F1 starts This was on v-power, well worth the extra few pence/litre cos I got a free F1 car(albeit a toy one, tho' the way fuel prices are going I'll expect a real one next time, or at least a pitbabe)
heartworm
I managed that on a long journey in my 6spd TT, but its very unusual and I was driving a steady 70 all the time
ivan
Yep, you're almost spot on - 31.99mpg is fairly good.
