View Full Version : How much to service a Ferrari
After spending hours looking round the net im still no closer to finding out how much it would cost to service a Ferrari 348 TS and what is the service intervals.
any input would be welcome.
Why worry mate? you wont keep it long enough to service it:d tbh i would not bother Stuart had a F355 (built on the same chasis as a 348 so i hear) and that cost him a fortune, rusted like hell aswell.

Thats not too bad tbh may give them a call tomorrow about costs,
He had the rear wings done twice and around the screen, bodyshop guy that looks after his dads Ferrari's said the metal on them is terrible.

Thats killed that one then, love the look of the car may just get a High powered MR2 kit car instead.
Don't know if this helps but 355 back in summer of 2006 was
routine service £550+vat
major service £990+vat.
Cambelt to do a proper job is engine out £1250+vat,
Clutch on F1 box £1000+vat
Cat will cost £800+vat each side
Oh and value guides £70 each they go around 30-40K and theres 40 of them :taped:
A pal has just had his 360 serviced and a few things done on it for 5K - not sure what they did for that amount of money though
Just decided i aint prepared to pay that kind of cost for a old car, may just borrow a real one to play in and buy a VERY nice kitcar.
thanks for the help guys i never realised the upkeep was as high.

Now that's an idea;)
thats crazy money for servicing
I don't like the sound of them rusting, you would have thought they where made a little better than a Fiat:)

I'd imagine the person who test drove it was too busy looking where they were going to notice! I was impressed by how quick it was
Yea they are quick enough, similar to bpu supe.

:yeahthat:
Apparently the rusting is common on Ferrari's. Its a badge car, nothing more. :(

Mark at Phoenix and I were talking about Ferrari ownership a few weeks ago as I had almost purchased a 348 Spider, he told me the 348 was one of the worst cars he had worked on and they are forever going wrong, he did say the 355 was a huge improvement in build quality but they do suffer with rust, hence why so many of them are kept in better condition garages than my lounge !!
