The previous owner (benzsupra) changed the power steering pump last year and up until yesterday the steering was nice and light and how it should be. Today it felt a little heavier than normal but by no means hard to steer. Is this normal or does it indicate low fluid or air lock? its been perfect up until now and suddenly gone a little heavier, any ideas??

thanks in advance

:DKosmic, some pretty basic stuff to start with. Start the engine and turn the steering from lock to lock 3-4 times slowly, this will usually give the pump chance to expel any accumulated air. Then check your fluid levels. Check your front tyre pressures, apologies if this sounds daft but we had an owner in today complaining of exacty the same issue and when we checked his pressures he had hit a kerb and dinged the wheel andhad slow puncture and was 10 psi low in the front tyre.

Report back 2morrow pls!

thanks buddy, first things i did were exactly that, checked fluid level when hot and cold - fine and then checked tyre pressures which were ok too
