stingjay
hi i put my car in the garage today to have what we thought was the cambelt tensioner changed as the squeak seemed to come from there. the mechanic found nothing wrong but when putback together it started again, so he took the alternator belt off and it stopped, he then lubed all the pulleys and checked the crank pulley rubbers which were fine but said the only thing he couldn't lube was the waterpump . would this be the problem as he reckons they are about £200 -£300 for a new one , is there anything i can try cheers j
