Keep my UK... Convert it to manual, and single turbo! Its nearly done a 100k now

Sell the Supra, get another one... in manual

Get a RX-7 - similar to Jurgen's EX Demo

Get a Integra DC5 - with Buddy Club Goodies

Get a Golf R32 (mk4) - Tuned around 300hp

Get an Evo VI Tommi Makkinen - Red with white wheels

Get an Escort Cossie!!! :innocent:

I fancy a change, something low millage too!!! i only do 6miles a day now... Escort Cossie is my Fav Car, and i dont want to buy one and be disapointed!!!

I've driven all of them.

Golf won't make you smile for more than 30 mins, even with 300bhp. I've most experience driving the Golf other than the Supra.

Evo will drive itself ;) but seriously you've picked one of the best ones there.

Escort is a cult car and is a fanstastic drive. Can be a little bit unreliable but so are all the other cars listed except the Golf.

Supra and RX7 are pretty much the same in terms of value and overall owners experience as far as I can see (apart from the rebuild thing but that's not a huge deal as you're talking single turbo Supras anyway). RX7 is a little bit more skittish at high speed but the Supra struggles to out-handle one at low and mid speed cornering.

Integra. FWD. Not my cuppa but I've driven one and they are VERY good at what they do.

The Supra idea would be good as a bare shell rebuild but at 100k you've got to ask how long things are going to hold up for at single turbo power levels.

My conclusion: You'll enjoy the Evo and Golf more day-to-day IMO but if it was my choice i'd go for either a mint 6 speed VVTI Supra or the Escort in concours condition.

Escort has to win out though because you've already had a Supra. You also don't mention what kind of roads you enjoy, whether you do track days etc. All this has a different effect on the decision. TBH I think Michael is right, you need to make your own choice.

I used to love driving, in the summer, down the welsh country roads, and over various Passes in the mountains!!!! I cant do it in the Supra cos i'll kill myslef, thats why i was looking into a Cossie or an EVO, or even the Teg, cos they are really good handling cars! I'de have to have a Really Mint, low millage car... something i can keep imaculate in my garage!!! The cossie will, also, NOT loose value if kept clean, if something, it'll go up in value! My missus is sayin 'why get rid of your Supra for an Escort'... Women! The only escort thing about it, is the Badge and Dash!

Mate if you live in the Welsh mountains that changes things quite a bit lol.

I was saying last time I was up there how much I wish I'd brought an Evo to play with. The place is full of damn Scoobies! Get a decent Evo. Keeping the Escort clean enough to make a difference will be near impossible if you want to drive it in the Welsh weather.

I've driven/worked/tuned Evo's, all through the range! And i did like the way they drove, but i didnt really get a chance to push one to the limits!!! Or take one down any local lanes!!! As you say... i'll go out and drive some. Hope no1 thinks im a Tyre Kicker and wont let me out in one... :D

You're better off finding someone who will take you for a drive in theirs IMO. That way you can see what they are like as the owners drive them rather than as you'd drive them on a test-drive. If you like then ask to have a drive yourself and then find some nice ones for sale with your new knowledge.

I assume that's Escort Cosworth. Always fancied one of them. Been in a 300bhp Cossie - loads of turbo lag (more than the Grale) but when it went it was ballistic!!

Correct.

I don't mind lag as this particular car will rarely see below 5000rpm anyway :)
