Tom Posted March 10, 2008 Share Posted March 10, 2008 I'm getting my 1JZ engine built and I found out I can use the same pistons as on the 2JZ, result! so which would you go for and why? Cost is actually cheaper than HKS and Jun and produce the same results. Just for reference, they run CP in the 1800hp drag cars and NEVER have issues from the pistons/rods. CP, IMO, are lousy pistons, they even send out a fit "plenty" size ring that you have to file to fit, presumably they use a generic ring, rather than one cast to bore size...
