Gaz those are rods you linked to LOL! Good lord :D

 

Tom, we in the USA run mainly CP pistons in most of the big hp builds. Cost is actually cheaper than HKS and Jun and produce the same results. Just for reference, they run CP in the 1800hp drag cars and NEVER have issues from the pistons/rods.

let me know a price :) I would like to go with some rods too for the 1JZ but I can't find any 'on the shelf' at the mo, can you help with that too?

just to add i'm looking for the best to go in my engine ;)

 

Ideally looking for carillo rods too,

 

the spec so far will be,

 

ported head

knife edged crank

aftermarket valve guides

HKS cams

ARP head bolts

ARP rod bolts

Cosworth (JUN sell them), Wiseco as a second choice. CP, IMO, are lousy pistons, they even send out a fit "plenty" size ring that you have to file to fit, presumably they use a generic ring, rather than one cast to bore size... I have used Tomei in high end RB26 Skyline engines, but haven't see their Supra pistons as yet.
