Scott
I'm wondering if anyone knows for definite how different glass lenses and plastic lenses are. I'm pretty sure the shape is the same but how do they locate into the casing? Are they a lot different than the plastic ones? Thanks for any info Scott =op
Ben-san
The shape is different - glass ones have a slight bulge nearer the top, in relation to the line the bonnet curve takes. I can't confirm if they fit the same way in the rear casing. Edit: I've heard of 'hybrid' headlights, where glass lenses were used on facelift cases. Gzaerojon will be able to confirm. suprattgaz
FK it, i'm copying those Scott =op Already started doing that a year ago mate - got to the lenses and gave up on the inserts!!!! Had exactly the same thought as you, "I can make them for cheeper than that!" I would say buy the kit unless you have access to all the plastic and f.glass moulding facilities etc.
QSC
Could look really good without the clear plastic lenses on the front...
