Great job by the pilot, but I'd have had his @$$ fired for trying to land in those winds. Should have diverted or at least held for calmer winds. The approach looked stable, but when I see how far he was crabbed, he should have gone around earlier.

I had a similar aborted landing coming into Heathrow a few years back, you could hear a pin drop :(

You mean "Scarebus". Surely you've read about some of the issues with the autopilot going haywire midflight in the A319/320s.
