Going to download at home later as I can't from work.
I used to really like them but havn't heard them for quite some time now.
i got it on download at home, not holding my breath the last few releases have been pretty dissapointing, and hes stated that the band are pretty much fired so its just Reznor
I've found the last few released difficult to get into at first, but then really like them after perseverance.
He hasn't made anything good since the days of Broken/Fixed.
In my opinion.

NIN has pretty much always just been Reznor though.

Your opinion sucks :D
Downward Spiral rocked :)
Martin like his stuff quite hard though so I can see why he thinks that.

Why you shouldn't post while distracted.Reason#182
I totally forgot about TDS. That did indeed bringeth the noise. I was really into the remixes of various tracks from that. The Closer remix that also featured in Se7en was a firm favourite.
Pete is correct though. I do like my music hard. C'mon, I file Skinny Puppy under Easy Listening. :d
That's alright then, you're forgiven. You're still not my favourite mod though.
Oh! Well you are my second favourite member called Thorin.

I hate that other guy.

He buys me chocolate and lets me touch his wheels.
More importantly is Ghosts any good?
I'm not expecting anything that good to be honest .
Its downloading now , i'll give it a listen to it later though .

Is that all he lets you touch?:p
More importantly is Ghosts any good?
I have no idea *sigh*
I tried downloading it but every time it got to around 30-40MB complete and then just stopped. Seems a few people are having problems due to their servers being overloaded. I got a support e-mail saying that they hope to have the issues sorted later today and that the "one time only" download link will be reset so I can try again.
I just got it downloaded there , wouldnt work yesterday .
First impressions are not good at all .
I'm feeling quite angry, I shall download. :)
I've paid my $9.99 + $12.99 for shipping for the 2CD and lossless download.
So far it's taken about 3 hours to download and has 8 mins left....it's said that for about 15 mins now. :(
It seems their download security isn't very good as you can specify the link for the lossless version like this : http://download.store.nin.com/sdl/nin_ghosts_I-IV_apple.zip
That's for the iTunes lossless version - 604Mb and very slow download.
I think I'll just stick to the old stuff for now and wait until they sort this out :)
cant belive its sold out of the $300 packages, still im told its worth the download, well see.
Still 8 mins remaining....it's not crapped out though. Time for bed and see if it's there in the morrow.
Well I couldn't wait in the end and downloaded it from a torrent. I have already paid the $5 so I don't feel guilty.
Just had a quick listen through the first volume so far. Nice chilled background music while you're working. I'll see what the other volumes are like...
I restarted the download again this morning and it arrived in less than 20mins.
Quick flick through - it's about what I thought it would be.
Trent doing what he's probably always done randomly writing tunes and tones but actually releasing it rather than filing it. No doubt he's kept some stuff back to turn into 'proper' tracks.
Like you say, it's more for background music.
The Slip, free album...

Cool.
I got my Ghosts CD pack through last week.
I just hope the quality of the releases isn't going to fall now they can bang music out whenever they want to.

That's always a worry but, hopefully, we'll see them being able to put out albums of stuff that may be release ready but not fitting in with the current album or band direction.
I downloaded The Slip last night. It seems okay. I've not really heard much from them since The Downward Spiral. They seem a little more commercial these days.

I thought the same. "ok" but nothing special, probably won't warrant more than a few listens... but then it's free so you can't really complain.
I just hope he'll get a proper album out and get back to the heavier stuff.

Ideally an album that takes the best bits of Broken/Fixed and The Downward Spiral.
Disappointing sums it up for me.
