View Full Version : How LOW can you go and still use the car ???
Just fitted TEIN coilovers and uk brakes front and rear and a MOMO wheel , the car is sitting really low now due to the nose being very low in style , what do you reckon ????? the phone is a Nokia 6100 for reference
Dude:flame Dev
one of the local speed humps , believe it or not it actually clears
i dont think you will be getting that up the driveway at Thor again !
That's low alright!
Was it a hassle fitting the wheel? I've got a momo and snap-off boss sat in the house, just need to get round to fitting it....
he'll have to buy some wood then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its a lot stiffer than before , absolutley NO body roll at all car feels very precise and i reckon the small MOMO wheel has given me maybe 50-60 hp more ! :stupid:

Wheel not too bad to fit at all , 5 mins !!;)
Dude:flame Dev
I'll have to ask you to do mine then. I've read a few threads where people had to mess around quite a bit to get the thing to fit, put me off...

Wheel looks nice mate.
Is it a Momo Champion? I used to have one in another car of mine. Feels very nice!
Ta,
Rob.
im lower, but i dont have mr plough on the front. :)
dont forget it'll probably settle a bit too (if they r new).
I've heard people talking about suspension settling before, doesn't make any sense to me, I know mine didn't.
Isn't the Tein electronically adjustable?
Man thats low!!
I have enough probs with my bumper on standard JSpec suspension, let alone going lower!!!
Looks  though :D
Its as settled as its gonna get , its not electronic though , i may raise it a gnats yet , we will have to see :innocent:

Toyota have a depot in i 'believe' Belgium , that they have to buy from , if you can buy direct fronm there its cheaper than going to toyota , all depends on how arsed you can be to save a few quid !!!!!
dude:flame Dev
What's involved in buying direct from Toyota in Belgium then?
Like you just ring them up and they send you stuff, or is there all the customs hoops to jump through?

No customs its EEC !!!! never bothered myself as its hassel if you get the wrong bits , id rather be able to take em back to my local dealer .
Dude:flame Dev
I suppose you just have to make really sure you order the right bits. If they send the wrong bits then it's their problem to sort out.
I see what you're saying though. Just depends how much of a saving we're talking about
TIC are still trading yeah - spoke to Justin a week or so ago, its just the garage he's sold off AFAIK, still doing the mail order.
john - that does look low. if you recall mine sits a fair bit lower too and am having a hassle with the new front lip i've got. considering the bumps where you live - it must be nightmare! nice steering wheel dude ! :)
