Didn't his have a 5.7L only producing something like 200bhp?
thats nice - can it go round corners?

thats nice - can it go round corners?
I doubt it :D
It does run about 200BHP but I have 600+ coming in the Sup so I dont care :D

That looks nice. I've always had a thing for the Iroc Z's even though they are medalion specials
As a car it's completely unsuitable for UK roads. It's too long, too wide, the steerings on the wrong side, it's too loud and too thirsty.
How much was it and where can I get one?

Supercharger kit is $3600, I happened to come across it today by accident while on the US Camaro owners site :innocent:
Blimey, got to be done for that money.:D

Almost doubles the power (adds upto 175 BHP), you can buy bigger kits as well !

TBH I have never driven a Z28 but I have always wanted a big US V8 since I took my Skyline to Mersea Madness a couple of years ago when the Skyline owners shared a show ground with the American Hotrod owners club, they just sound so good, may regret it but you only live once !!:D

You wont regret it (Maybe fuel costs and your misses leaving you) But its a stunner and worth it :)

17mpg he has told me, but after owning a single Supra and R32 for the last couple of years that seems quite acceptable
Misses wont care as long as it still takes here to the shops and picks here up again, besides she is learning to drive at the moment and said she wanted an Auto :D

Lol :d Perfect learner car
Perfect car for the pending fuel price rises :p
I like them a lot, have you ordered a supercharger yet then ?
Nice bit of 5 litre burble never hurt anyone :) nice Z
So now when you drop the misses off, she has to get out on the roadside as opposed to the pavement. :p

Well picked her up today and its a very interesting drive !! :D
70mph at less than 2000 RPM, much slower than I thought it would be though even with the racing shift, needs a new exhaust manifold gasket which could be costing a few BHP and a good service but on the whole should be a lot of fun over the summer
Will be going in next week for full stainless exhaust, new headers and a full service including a look at what Chevy call brakes !:D

She left me to it in the end and went shopping with friends :)
B- that's 1983-4 isn't it? Didn't these cars have massively restricted engines to meet Californian smog laws, hence having 5 litre engines barely making 120bhp? Must be worth investigating as you may be able to free up a few hundered horsepower by unstrangling it.

Yes they had restriction to ensure they met with strict CO2 rules, this car has had the 'environment pack' removed :eyebrows:

Not a problem Gaz, will be hidden in the boot anyway, not going for bling on the car really
Get the smog gear off help it breath, lot of potential ponies under that hood, and many more plug'n'play if you care to purchase any of them.

Been out it this all day and really love it, such a major contrast to the Supra and it gets so much attention, feel a new project coming on :)

I am a long way down that slope with the Supra and looking at Chevy parts from the US they are so cheap it may be an easier slope to be on with this car, for example a new set of headers $128 !!, new exhaust $320, my Supra exhaust, downpipe and manifold $2400 :taped:
Beautiful car, So what did the misses say when she found out?

Beautiful car, So what did the misses say when she found out?
She just laughed at me as usual, not sure she see's it as an option for herself after she passes her test!
It was a bugger to insure as well, so many insurance companies do not touch these, Sky would not swop the TT6 Import for this :(
