hey guys, been doing a lot of reading up and lot of talk bout blowing turbos- and not goin past 1.2 bar.

this got me thinkging bout setting my boost on mine safely.

I have a Blitz SBC boost Controller- its currently set to 0 boost with a peak of 1.25.

so far im leading to beleive that this is not boosting with high pressure although it does boost-- if ya get me ?lol

so if i was to set the boost level to say 0.5 or 0.9 then i peak at 1.2 and stop at 1.2 safely without damaging the turbos but increasing speed/acceleration.

if got this completey wrong then sorry- tyring to still get my head round all this?

cheers

My stockies blew at around 1.2bar :( so 1.2bar limit really is just a guide as you are stressing the the turbos above what they were setup todo. But saying that their are loads of people that have run 1.2bar for years with no problems.

Do you have a double decat and RR? remember that any BC will only up the boost not lower it. I found that with a double decat and RR my turbos boosted to just over a Bar and then i used my BC to up the boost to 1.2bar.

Also what FCD do you have? as the thor one allows you to up the fuel cut limit without totally removing it as another safety measure

got a Thor racing one. not double decatted yet- im looking to do that in a few months once i got the ca$h.

has anyone got a blitz sbc or what does your boost read or what do u have it set to? im intrigued to find what standard non decatted supes ppl are runing at. do u think its safe to up the normal boost to 0.9 standard and not peak over 1.2

or should i jsut leave it reading zero and peak 1.25
