Torque damper or strut brace?

Recently noticed that Nic was selling a nice looking torque damper that goes between the N/S strut tower to the engine over the inlet manifold and I realized that if you fitted one of these you would not be able to have a strut brace as well due to the position of the mounting bracket - so which is of more use a brace for body control or a damper to smooth out the driveline? I can only find one Supra in the US with a torque damper as apposed to thousands of strut braces everywhere!

Strut brace, although you won't notice much difference , the strut brace will offer a small amount of stiffening, the torque damper won't do anything other than transmit vibration from the engine to the body, as they are normally all a slider with rubber buffers either side, i have never come across a genuine hydraulic damper, unless your running big power and want to stop engine flexing on take off or gear change, the Supra doesn't need one, if you can find one;) i was going to use a mountain bike damper on my old S14, but never got around to it.
