Drop Link question??

Just a quick question i know that the drop links attach the roll bar to the suspension arms etc, but what happens when they need replacing what symptoms do you get??

I think a metallic clicking whilst driving is the give away.

Hmmm does anyone have a sound clip of this??,
I take that it does not effect the handling at all then? just an annoying sound.

Very annoying knocking over rough roads.

Think you notice worn droplinks more on high upward type bumps. I'd jack up one corner and then jack up the wishbone a little to take the strain off the droplink balljoints. They should be able to move freely with a firm push but not feel loose or gritty. New ones are quite tight feeling.
