Track day - tyre sizing

Yes it would... but then the Supra is a bit of an understeery beast with stock sizes.

Sorry but I disagree. I had 225's all round on my old NA (stock sizes) and it was fine. I wouldn't want 240's on the back of a TT though, especially not a modified one.

You disagree with what exactly? That the Supra is an understeery beast? I'm quite sure your NA was fine with 225's all round.

I stuck with stock sizes with my Toyos, and the front did understeer but thats how it handles anyway, which makes for safer track driving. Back end was near impossible to lose unless you were deliberately trying.

I found a bit more aggressive negative camber upfront eliminates the understeer nicely, I like the understeer on the road (safety) but for marham, I'm considering giving it a little tweak :eyebrows:

If you have a little understeer on track what's the trick to keeping your lap times up? a little slower in but on the throttle earlier?

Mike, yeah thats true.. I just havent got round to fiddling with any settings in a serious way tbh.

Si, you did get the back end out a couple of times when you were following me at Bedford in your vid, so maybe wider tyres would help a little? :) Having said that, 99% of the rest of the time you had no issues at all.

Yeh thats true, it was mainly out of the hairpin after the pit straight which is a 2nd gear corner so loads of torque going on.
