I currently have an alpine head unit with a 6 CD Alpine changer connected to it.

My problem is that I cannot find anywhere in the back of the car to place the CD changer without the Cd's skipping everytime I go over bumps.

I have used the CD changer in other cars without problems so I don't think the autochanger is at fault.

The suspension is not particularly uprated, it's a J-Spec TT with Grey TRD shox, standard springs and 17" wheels.

Does anyone else have troubles with their autochangers jumping?

I have tried mounting the changer at the back of the hatchback area (by the rear lights), directly behind the rear seats, and underneath the rearfloor by the spare tyre all without success.

My latest idea is to mount the changer in the lower glovebox and surround it with foam for cushioning but does anyone have any other suggestions before I start doing this?

Have you adjusted the CD changers suspension to suit the angle of installation?

how about under the glove it can go there thats where mine is and its easy to get to just put a bit of black cloth on velcro on the front to hide it.

My kenny sits in the boot, under the floor next to the spare wheel at 90 degrees. Cut a small slash in the plastic and have had no problems with it. But with the MP3 headunit, I don't actually tend to use the damned thing!!

The autochanger has just been bolted in each time, I must admit I wasn't aware of any suspension settings on it so its obviously worth me searching out the instructions on this.

I like the idea of locating the changer under the glove box so if investigating the suspension settings doesn't work then a small shelf under the glove box could be a goer.

Have already tried putting the autochanger by the spare wheel but the comment about MP3's interests me. I like the look of the Kenwood Music keg but have never been a fan of Kenwood head units.

if your an alpine fan you can get a six disk changer that plays mp3 all the new alpine range does you cant get normal ones like before and they are not that expensive.
