I'd never do 10 hours of labour to fit a second hand potential leaker matrix. Brand new every time on that job.

Yeah, I need one as well, so count me in on the group buy.

If someone wants to sell / donate a scrap core I can maybe get replacements made for a worthwhile amount less than the OE units.

You are welcome to remove my scrap core Chris, oh and while you have the dash out you could pop the new one in, perfect :D

What pull out the dash, remove the matrix (without peeing coolant everywhere), fit the new matrix, and refit the dash without breaking anything in 3 hours?? Thats an achievement and a half.

Blimey it would be quicker for me to drive to him get the job done and drive home afterwards than do it myself :)

I would have thought it was easy to do in a day, so time wise im not worried.

I could do with mine pretty soon though as at the moment mine matrix is bypassed and the cold morning are a right PITA when i need to use the car :)

You want to be careful by-passing it. There are some schools of thought that believe that by-passing it can nadge your head gasket.

Mine's been by-passed for around 6 years without problem. 95% of the year I don't need a heater anyway, although it's blooming cold here at the moment at 8 degree.... bbbrrrr.

I can supply a brand new heater matrix for just over £200 including postage, if anyone wants details drop me a pm.

How has that been by-passed chap? Take a read of this link before just by-passing the matrix by sticking a pipe between the two that go to the matrix. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=111270&highlight=heater+matrix+head+gasket

Indeed. I must have pulled out 40 Supra matrix in the last 10 years and believe me, the first one I removed took about 3 days! :D Now I can remove one in an hour or 2, and back together in around the same time. £250 for that if anyone doesnt fancy the mess that comes from removing a dash. ;)

How much in total for the whole job including a replacement matrix?
