new door speakers

i bought some pioneer speakers of a member on here as i was advised they would fit straight in the doors but they dont becaus of the screw holes.

what speakers can i buy off the shelf to fit straight in not fussed to much about the sound quality really..

Im pretty sure there arent any speakers that will screw directly in because of the screw hole layout. Take a look in the ice section and make a wooden mount. I did and it looks good + you get the satisfaction of doing it yourself!

The ones i have for sale fit right in as i took them out of my car. You enquired about them with me but you didn't buy them.

Or is that a coincidence?

i would like to retain the standard grilles

whats the standard grill look like mate ?

Standard grill is just plain black mesh.

The only speakers that will fit in the std location are ones that will screw into the resonator box so that will be around 4.5"

Other than that you need to make a speaker bracket as there are no screw holes anywhere near where the speakers go.
