We seem to have a lot of international members who are more than happy to hang around here and pay the membership.

What about giving them a section which could then contain threads of international interest? Obviously not a subsection per country, but they could post threads that would interest a wider community outside the UK.

Like a subsection in Events?

Not just events, just general international stuff. The problem is there isn't enough international events posted to justify a section dedicated to events. However a section just for new members/introductions and the odd event would probably be sufficient at the moment would have thought.

Considering this site can be found on the world wide web and we ask for a payment from our international supra friends ... they probs feel a maybe tad short changed when most things are based in the UK ... just putting my two pennies worth lol ...

We don't force them to join or pay, if they choose to then it's because we offer something their local sites don't or add to them with additional content they clearly have an interest in.

At the end of the say this is a UK based site with international members, not an international site like Supraforums tries to be.

No harm in a section for organising international meets. Other than that I dont see the point.

Perhaps only for the international meetings, but i don;t see any other reason why there should be a sperate section?

The way some of the Southern contingent whinge about meets being too far North you'd think that anything north of the Watford Gap is classed as international.

Are we really ready to move into the international arena? We weren't last time I asked.

I'd say scrap the idea personally... at the time it seemed sensible due to the number of new members but at the rate they get insulted and leave no real point.

Hehehehehe, good to see at least still some decent humour left. :)

Okay realistically an international section purely for anything that is international wasn't meant to be a suggestion to seperate them but rather to integrate them without people going 'Well, duh have you not noticed this is a UK forum'... and there are a few international members out there who do prefer to stay here.

For instance there seems to be a strong dutch and swedish following developing these days, not saying we should have an individual section for each country, but rather than an international catch all.
