simbasupra
Have been looking at a set of 18" Rota GTR alloys. By looking at previous threads it seems they will clear UK brakes front and back and fronts will not rub. However it appears that they will rub on the outer wheel arches on the back with standard suspension due too the 30mm offset. What i would like to know is if this is correct, and would the rubbing stop if the car was lowered say 30mm.
Ric
yes they will rub if you are looking at the ones on ebay with the 265 rear tyres you will need to roll/cut the arch lip on the rear

Guest Garfy
yeah, will be with both, I have a set on my car, but I'm running 275's if your suspension is hard you might get away without it rubbing with 265's, I have only slightly rolled my arch's and it only rubbs on the biggest of bumps, I will prob switch to 265's next time around great wheels by the way
ADL Mark
What Garfy has said, I found exactly the same. They are very nice wheels, and very light too compared even to standard 17's.

I've seen your car around I think, haven't you parked opposite my house before?
ADL Mark
Possibly, but I have no idea where your house is
imi
how heavy are these wheels? guys - post some pics.
ADL Mark
I did weigh mine when I got them, but I can't for the life of me remember where I wrote down the weights. They were lighter than stock 17's by quite a bit, that's all I remember.
Shilakadaddy
about 10.5kg I seem to remember...?
PhilMorrison
We've sold a few sets to Supra owners, You can either use a 255 rear and it 'should' clear, or 265 and roll the lip. It is of course dependent on your camber settings though.. We have also had a customer fit the 9.5" at the front as well using a slightly stretched 235/40/18.. GetawayDriver
255 is fine on lowered/firm suspension, rubs slightly on standard/softer suspension when under heavy load. you can see in the attached pic mine is pretty damn low. i decided the imperceivable difference in driving on 255 as opposed to 265 tyres didn't warrant body mods. imi
about 10.5kg I seem to remember...? Thats quite heavy.... Regarding the fitment....there are a few threads about 275 on the rear clearing OK...is that viable? What offset to go for on the front....30 or 35?
